Job Description

A small law firm in Portland, Jamaica is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Secretary to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to lawyers and other staff members, including preparing and editing legal documents, managing files, and handling correspondence. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a law office and be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and editing legal documents, such as contracts and court documents
  • Managing files and maintaining accurate records
  • Handling correspondence and answering phone calls
  • Providing administrative support to lawyers and other staff members

The successful candidate will have:

  • Post-secondary education in law or a related field
  • Experience working in a law office
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
