Chief Accountant

Delta Supply Company Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Accountant to join its Finance team, reporting directly to the Directors and leading the Financial Accounting Team, including oversight of the full payroll process.

What you will do

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger accounts
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
• Manage and process payroll, ensuring statutory compliance
• Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and budgets
• Ensure timely submission of all statutory returns to government agencies
• Monitor expenditures, analyse variances, and report on budget performance
• Support monthly financial reporting, forecasting, and annual audits
• Lead, supervise, and develop the Financial Accounting Team
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Directors

What you need

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Professional qualification such as ACCA
• Minimum five years' experience in a similar role
• High proficiency in Sage 300 and MS Office Suite
• In-depth knowledge of IFRS and Jamaican statutory rules (PAYE, NHT, NIS)
• Strong organisational, leadership and communication skills
• Auditing experience is an asset
• Experience in the Distribution or Manufacturing sector is preferred
