About this job

A registered pharmacist is needed in Kingston to help plan and establish a new community pharmacy linked to a private medical practice.

What you will do

Plan pharmacy layout and dispensary workflow
Review proposed premises before lease finalization
Advise on Pharmacy Council requirements
Assist with preparation of Pharmacy Council establishment application
Prepare for Pharmacy Council inspection and registration
Advise on medication storage, refrigeration, security, and regulatory requirements
Develop dispensing and pharmacy operating procedures
Help establish suppliers and organize initial inventory
Serve as Registered Pharmacist in Charge, subject to agreement and Council approval

What you need

Must be currently registered to practise pharmacy in Jamaica
Must be in good standing with the Pharmacy Council
Experience managing or establishing a community pharmacy is a significant advantage
Experience with Pharmacy Council applications or establishing a pharmacy is beneficial
